Item Description

New Orleans Creole Cottage with metal doorknob and hardware trim.  The wood is recovered from Selma, AL and the doorknob and trim are from New Orleans.

Artist lived and worked in New Orleans for over a decade and routinely sources and salvages materials from properties undergoing renovation or slated for tear-down.  Not available on-line.  Sold only at limited outlets in New Orleans and Montgomery.

Sturdy.  18" tall.  Both functional and decorative.  This is not a "feeder" this is a protected space for birds to nest; many will return year after year once establishing this as their home.

Imagine attracting with a custom-made home for nesting!  Meticulously and individually crafted of all recycled materials, the interior floor is raised enough that birds are protected, but not so "deep" that it's hard to get in and out.

Statement from artist:  "My passion is to recycle!  I combine old wood and tin with hardware and architectural pieces to create my birdhouses.  My birdhouses were featured on QVC in years past, but now I only distribute locally and am honored to donate to charity events raising funds for good causes."
