Exquisite craftsmanship is required to create these unique pieces of art. Using Maple, Oak, Ash, Satinwood, Wenge, East Indian Rosewood, Mahogony and other woods, the artist cuts, shaves, shapes and pieces together the picture using the distinct colors and textures of the various woods to create the rich and stunning image. All woods and their sourcing are itemized on the authentication tag on the pack of the art.
From the Hudson Valley Region of New York, where the artist lived and worked, this piece showcases nature in both the soaring glory of the eagle and in the very elements from which it is made.
