Item Description
The Shubert Organization's historic Cort Theatre opened in 1912 with the hit Peg o' My Heart starring Laurette Taylor. The theater saw the Broadway debuts of The Diary of Anne Frank, Purlie Victorious, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and Radio Golf.
The theater was rechristened the James Earl Jones in 2022 in honor of the celebrated actor who made his Broadway debut at the Cort in Sunrise at Campobello. During renovations of the theater, crystal lighting fixtures that had been in place for decades were replaced. Now one of the legacy originals can be yours, in honor of James Earl Jones and as a way to celebrate all of Broadway.
This flush-mounted ceiling fixture once hung over the house right box. 196 Swarovski crystals cascade from the 10-inch tall brass chandelier, measuring 12.25 inches in diameter. The crystals are original to the piece.
