Item Description
This coin was minted during the First Republic and is composed of Silver (.900) (silver 90%, copper 10%).
It bears the Cuban coat of arms and country name as curved legend on top. On the reverse it has Five-pointed star with rays, "Fatherland and Freedom" As curved legend on top--it also shows its weight - date - and fineness of silver printed.
Quite a unique coin and it was taken out of circulation in 1962---another FUN FACT --this coin was minted in the United States Mint of Philadelphia, United States
