Item Description
“I have never seen mead enjoyed more in any hall on earth” Beowulf, Chapter 20.
Mead was an important, high-status drink in the Middle Ages. When land was granted in some parts of Northern Europe, it was common to include a condition that the landholder provide his lord with mead when he visited (property connection!).
Dean (or Jarl?) Wall and Professor (or Ealdorman?) McSweeney invite four brave warriors (or students) to join them for a mead and honey tasting at Silver Hand Meadery, after which we can get a horn (or, more probably, a glass) of our favorite mead, sit out on their patio, and compose Skaldic verse (or just chat, whichever you’d prefer).
